Just released today (with a new episode every week until the end of the year) is an amazing podcast called City of Refuge, featuring theme music and a whole bunch of other original songs by Lokashakti’s own Will Travers. A legit labour of love from Bryan Farrell and Waging Nonviolence, City of Refuge tells the story of Le Chambon-sur-Lingnon, a small town in France where villagers during World War II managed to save thousands of people from being sent to death camps by the collaborationist Vichy régime.
Basically if Schindler’s List was up your alley, you’ll really enjoy learning about this little French village with a larger-than-life story to tell. Check out the 3-minute trailer above, and see below for the many ways you can listen to all the episodes.
